Hi, I'm Alice, the 2012-2013 Kidstreet Artist in Residence!

Hello!

I'm writing to introduce myself to the Kidstreet community.  My name is Alice, and I'm the Kidstreet Artist in Residence from 2012-2013.  What does that mean?  I'm an artist (most of my work has to do with collaborating with young people, although I also make prints and textiles) who is around to brainstorm, make goody bags, help out with classes, talk to our students and help make Kidstreet wonderful for the next several months.  You'll also see my updates, and reflections on Kidstreet programming here on the blog...

I'm very lucky to be at the Art Institute studying Art Education in addition to hanging out at Lill Street, which means I have teaching, facilitating and hanging out with young people on the brain at most times.  My research right now is on immaginative narratives in art and the FUTURE!
