Bud Vase Workshop...This Saturday, February 1st!

Join us this Saturday from 2 to 4 pm and make bud vases out of clay.  Valentine's Day is around the corner. Perhaps you need a reminder that Spring will return (someday) and the flowers will bloom once again?

Come with decorating ideas...or use one of ours.

We have ideas for a variety of ages and difficulty levels.

Pssst...these are easier to make than they look...

Chinese New Year Workshop...Saturday, January 25th

Did you know that the Chinese Dragon is a symbol of luck, strength and power?

The Chinese New Year begins January 31st.  During Chinese New Year celebrations, the Dragon Dance is performed in parades and events to bring good luck in the year to come.  It is an intricate dance where a group of people maneuver a wood or plastic dragon draped in cloth.  It is believed that longer the dragon, the more luck it will bring.  Some dragons used in these dances are 230 feet long!

Even the Beijing Aquarium celebrates their own version of the Dragon Dance...with sharks!

Join us next Saturday, January 25th, from 2-4 pm, for our Chinese New Year Family Workshop.  You can make your own dragon face mask or a dancing dragon.
